Hi Bob,
When I was flying USCG C-130's out of Kodiak it was in Alaska, not
Alabama. When did they move south?

While on radio watchstanding duty today at Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook (NY
City), I happened to catch an article on the Coast Guard's tower climbing
school in Kodiak, AL. They teach tower climbing techniques and tower rescue.
A couple of points they made were that you should be attached to the tower at
all times (amazing how many people climb free style), and that a tower should
be inspected thoroughly at least every 2 years.
