See "Optimizing Coaxial-cable traps", by Robert Sommer, N4UU, in 
December 1984 QST.  I believe it is available on the ARRL web site (to 
members) and it is surely available on the ARRL QST CDs.  I can provide 
a copy to those with no other access.

I've built and used them, but haven't measured the losses.  The dip was 
very sharp, from which I infer high Q and low loss, but only actual 
measurements, not opinions really count.
