I do not like steel staples for holding down radials. My logic is that they eventually might end up getting tangled up in my lawn mower or stuck in someones foot. I use 3" long pieces of wood dowel with a hole drilled in one end. Slip 6 or 7 on a radial and pound them in at 8'-10' intervals. Environmentally friendly and quick to install.
