There are different size pin type N crimp connectors available.
Bury-Flex, like LMR400 and 9913 etc. has an oversized center conductor
that takes a pin with a larger opening.
If you look here and scroll down to item #11101400, that one works fine

Are you sure they don't make different versions of the connector for
cables with different center conductors? I recently used a bunch of
clamp-type N-connectors (bought on ebay) on Bury-Flex and the center
pins fitted perfectly. But I later bought a couple more at a hamfest and
had to cut off some strands.
