I picked up a used tailwister this week, and it has the brake delay module in
the control box, which mine doesn't. Going against station policy before a
contest, I'd like to swap out the two boxes and use the one with the brake.
But alas as the Gods never shine on me, the new box indicates 180 degrees out,
and it doesn't show that it's turning, when in fact I hooked up the old box
again and it shows that the antenna is in a different position. the old box
works ok, but the new doesn't....hmmmm..... Check the wiring inside the control
box and it looks the same to the terminal strip, and everywhere else too from
what I can see. Is there a difference between different vintage control boxes
that I don't know about?
Anyone throw some light on this? I haven't dug out my manual yet, figured
someone might have run across this already.
And yes I double checked the pigtail wiring too already.
