Tom's right, of course -- a Beverage has a dandy pattern, but....
The work I've heard about, but not seen, was written up in CQ for July 98,
p. 42, and involved substituting lumped loading for linear in a 4-el KLM
80m yagi, and taking field strength readings (I think...) Ring any bells?
K6MYC, W6RJ, NR7E, W6OOL, K7ZV, and W6ANR. W6KW
And of course, the test is in the operating -- CQWWCW should prove the
point, on both 15 and 40. Meantime, JD/M went in the log on 40 this
morning, the first one in 44 years, and he was hearing me a lot better than
I was hearing him. and it DOES look pretty up there, even 90 degrees off
the C-3.
