Does this balun put the driven element at DC ground? My 402CD sits atop my
shunt fed tower for 160 and I don't want a boom-to-DE arcing problem that
I've heard about?

## Nope, its just a CM choke..it does NOT put the center conductor at dc
ground.
The only way to bypass the cm balun is to use a relay to bond the braid on both
sides of the
cm choke.
