Just a word of caution regarding the shipping of six-foot lengths of
tubing from DX Engineering. Buried in the "fine print" on their web
page is the following.... Oversize items: A special handling surcharge
per item applies to select items.
In my case, 3 six-foot lengths of tubing, with a value of $22.00, had an
additional shipping charge of $18.60. Just make sure you consider this
surcharge too when looking at cost.

I just built two 80m verticals using large tubing from DX Engineering. In
the past I have used standard mill extruded aluminum tube and I had to
machine it to fit together since standard wall is .125 thick and extruded
aluminum is not precisely made. DX Engineering somehow obtained tubing
with a .120 wall and it fits together perfectly with no extra work. The
six foot lenghts should be easy to ship to MIA.

Hello
do you know who sell aluminium tubing, telescoping sections, to build a
large vertical antenna?
If near Miami, FL will be better
thanks!
