Before everybody wants to jump on the bandwagon to put a cell site on
their tower ( and get income for it), think about the consequences. If you
already have a permit for your Ham Tower, it was probably issued in a
residential neighbor. Your application probably did not mention commercial
use. When you change your use, your permit may become invalid.
The ideal situation is to get a permit for a commercial site, and peggy
back an amateur installation into that permit. That is probably not the
usual situation.
If a commercial operator wants to use your site for any application,
like
a paging system, don't let them cut corners and just put it on your tower
and forget to get a permit. The City will go after your Tower and you will
get the grief.
