| Hi Jeff and Andre,
I got them at a local concrete outfit. I understand that they use extra cement
which is brought back from a construction site and they make these out of it
instead of just dumping the extra.
I think the ones I got weigh 3150 lbs. The other trick is getting them to your
place. I and another guy borrowed a flatbed truck that had a crane on it, which
was used to pick up rocks for landscaping. We could only haul two at a time due
the ability of the truck. The guy with the backhoe moved them into place. He
did the work while I manned the camera! :)
I paid $25.00 each. I think they make two sizes, 2 x 2 x 4 and then the ones I
found, 2 x 2 x 6. Certainly the shorter ones would work, but they weren't
available when i went to buy them.

Thank you Tom.
I was wondering if that was a viable option.  Where do you buy the blocks?

Hello Jeff,
Along with the other helpful ideas suggested, here's how I dealt with the guy
anchor issue.
Scroll about 1/3 the way down and find the "guying" section.. I used
construction blocks and it was a real time saver!
BTW...You are on the right reflector for learning wise info!

 Subject: [TowerTalk] Screw in anchors

All,
I am rather new here.
I did put up 60 feet of Rohn 45 many years ago so I am not a complete
novice.
I am planning to erect a 70 ft Rohn 25G tower this summer.  The location is
very remote and heavily wooded.  The location makes using conventional cast
in-place re-enforced concrete anchors difficult and very expensive.  I
might be able to get a mini-excavator in to dig but I would certainly have
to use a pump truck to get the concrete in place.  $$$
I did have a comprehensive soil evaluation done for a conventional septic
system when I built the home in 2013.  In the area tested it perked for a
conventional system.  When they excavated for the foundation however they
found heavy clay and rocks.  Same when they drilled the well.
I am considering using AB Chance screw anchors or perhaps "Bust" anchors.
I realize that the book calls for the cast in place option but I am afraid
that will not be affordable.
Any constructive thoughts (pun intended) pro or con or other anchor ideas
would be most appreciated.
Jeff
