These poor souls obviously were not properly
grounded. They should have had a reel of 1.5'-wide
copper strap between the underwire and a suitable
ground point (say the grounding system of their flat).
They would be limited to about 100-200 feet of travel,
but at least they would still be alive!
Since their range would be limited, they could also use
a portable grounding system. They could carry several
10' ground rods and pound them into the ground at suitable
intervals (attached of course to their 100-200 feet of wide
strap) as they ventured past their flats. If poor conductive
earth is a problem, they could use ChemRods which would
"salt" the soil to increase its conductivity.

Guys,
I wonder what Polyphaser's solution to these
lightning strike problems is?
LONDON, Oct 27
(Reuters) - Two women
were killed by a bolt of
lightning in London's
Hyde Park when their
underwired bras acted as
conductors, a coroner
said
on Wednesday.
"I think this was a tragic case, a
pure
act of God," coroner Paul Knapman
told an inquest into the deaths. He
recorded a verdict of death by
misadventure.
