Ed,
What a great question! I was thinking about doing something like this for
my Ab-577. My rotator cuffs would thank me...

Subject: [TowerTalk] AB-577 AB-621 Winch Motor
Hi Folks,
Has anyone ever used a small motor to crank the mast up on an AB-577 or
621? If so, are there any recommendations for a particular motor type or
mfgr? Seems like it would be easy to couple the motor to the gearbox using
a 1/2 inch shaft and coupling.
