Unfortunately I don't have a photo of the half inch coupling, although if
need be I could make up a connector and shoot some photos (if I can find
some half inch stuff.

The compression coupling is "double ended" and designed to join to 1/2"
tubes. Each end is tapered inside and has a ferrule held in place by a
nut. When the nut is tightened the furred is compressed and gets smaller in
diameter. I use have of a 3.4" coupling and barrel connector to make
fittings for 3/4" hard line. Of that I have some photos.

They are just about the right size to nicely grab the 1/2" aluminum
hardline shield and the back end of a pl259. Basically I put the back end
of the 259 into one end of the coupling and tighten it down keeping the
connector straight. It is a tiny bit undersize and sometimes with want to
turn a bit, but it's close enough in size that the fitting will grab it
tightly.

Come to think of it, I have some couplings and PL259s and that is the part
you need to see anyway. I could put one of those together, shoot a couple
of photos and just add them to the above page.
