Recently I received a note asking me what I though of the BigBoy "Rotator"
(Pro.Sis.Tel PST61) which I have installed in the tower, turning all that
*stuff* up on top. Unfortunately I lost the e-mail, but believe it was some
one from the reflector so I'm posting the note here.
I went through two of the HyGain HDR series rotors in as many weeks and had
to use a "TailTwister" (tm) to hold the whole works in place until the PST61
arrived. It's now been up there about two years and is still going strong.
I have the "C" control box which will interface with the computer but have
not done so. At times it's handy to just punch in the heading and hit the
<go to> button, but other times I'd kind of like to have the left right
buttons. Although you can "sorta" do that the soft start makes it a bit
confusing. OTOH it can be a bear to get inside the tower. I basically had
to partially disassemble the rotor and turn the motor 90 degrees to its
original orientation. (careful, it can get messy and you can lose the oil)
On the whole, I'd not hesitate to purchase another.
