RE>TopBand: JY9QJ Mess 12/31/96
Hello Phil,
Not sure if you knew what JY9QJ was really working last night. He was indeed
operating simplex after he worked several U.S. stations split for a short
while. Then he started to work russians and euorpeans simplex for quite some
time, since I could hear
both sides of his qsos perfectly. I began to call him in proper form and
someone
was try to tell me he was listening up 1, which he wasn't doing. A so
called"policeman"continued to cause QRM on his frequency for several minutes,
since he had no clue to what JY9QJ was doing at the time. I was able to work
him without difficulty despite of the deliberate QRM. Does that explain why I
worked him ?

Maybe we ought to quit spotting 160 meter DX. The fellow was QSX up. Guys
were calling on his freq. Someone kept sending UP every couple of seconds.
Then someone
would respond NO. What a mess!
