I came to know Bob in 2007 when he along with Bruce Butler, W6OSP (SK), asked 
me for ideas about who might host the Top Band Dinner for the 2008 Visalia 
convention. The next thing I knew it was me.

A few years ago at the Visalia convention Tree presented Bob's story of his 
travels as a young man in East Africa in the late 1940s. You can read about
