I had planned to operate as a rover for this contest; from different grid
squares and possibly from different states. Do the rules, as stated, mean I
cannot submit an entry for the contest? Each different grid square would
probably be considered as a different QTH. >>
Wassa meter you, can't read?
As long as you have your transmitting and receiving antenna at the same QTH
(you will have them with you in your car, tearing the highway, or else) you
are OK. Even if your QTH is Interstate 95 and your Beverages are in Miami, you
are in Georgia, you will be OK, it is the same QTH - I-95.
I will be in Ontariorio, we can negotiate about trading the use of set of US
vanity calls for a bottle of Tequilla or fine cigar.
What happens when in the middle of the QSO you cross the square border? You
probably has to stop before the border, finish the QSO and cross and continue.
Otherwise you would really screw the computers and all those operators using
.DTA rather than their ears.
I will probably operate mobile too, park exactly on the border of two squares,
with antenna alligned with the border, and as it swings in the wind from one
square to another, I will send one or the other square (it would be neeto -
kinda lottery). I can use rear view mirror or sensor tied into the parallel
port. (Can we incorporate that in TR 6.199999?)
It will be in the same QTH - 1972BuickLeSabreCity, and if in motion, I will
use Trailing Beverage in the tow. Might even fly the balloon or kite vertical.
Just have to find low traffic, no bridges roads.
Seriously, I think one call should be used and square given out at the moment
is the one used for calculating points. Some get lucky working you in farther
away square, some in closer. I would see it as work you once in whatever
square you are in. Or if duped, claim the one that is farther away.
Flames on, I got 19 stitches in my head, I am not sure what am I talking
about, but I will try hand out some squares.
Yuri Very Easy 3 Big Mobile Victor,
just don't count on .DTA for my square (or circle)
