I have long runs of both 600 ohm open wire line and coax... I have runs of coax
out to a 1000 feet that on 80 meters and to 1500 feet on 160 meters... I do not
find the coax losses to be a problem...
Lowest loss is open wire, of course... For 160 meters the line loss from a few
hundreds of feet in not meaningful... Run the line that is the most convenient
for you...
