The second interview was conducted in 1992, when Beverage was 99 years
of age. He died in 1993, at age 100. These interviews are fascinating to
anyone interested in the early days of radio.
My deeper interest was in C.W. Hansell, an unheralded genius who worked
for Beverage. Beverage's comments about Hansell are particularly
riveting.
