Most of these questions about dynamic range, clicks, using a receiver to
measure signals, and even relay timing are on my somewhat chaotic and
disorganized web site and have been for a while.

I added a search function to help find things in that mess of files.

Part of the problem with MP's is the sheer number of them. Over-the-air
pollution is like regular air pollution. We have to clean up the largest and
most common sources first. The attention on certain radios should be
proportional to how many cause problems. I know, for example, that Viking
Valiants are terrible. So are DX100's. If we cleaned up every one in use
during band openings or contests, who would notice a change?

Things are certainly much better now than they have been in the past, and I
think they will get better all the time. While threads like this might rub
some people the wrong way, the result is a great improvement for our entire
community. We not only have cleaner bands, we learn things along the
way...which is part of the reason we are allowed to have licenses.

Hopefully someday it will trickle up to design engineers and marketing
people.
