Topband friends--- Tom is very generous with his comparison between my Inv L
and his 4 Sq, but it did seem to work much better than I expected. With 50
1/4 WL radials it showed negligible changes between wet and dry condx. BUT
The change between winter (no foliage) and mid summer (heavy foliage), would
shift my low SWR point over 30 Kc.
No matter how futile your TopBand ant situation seems--- string up a piece
of wire and enjoy. Just remember the most important wire you have needs to
connect to the Receiver !!
