TopBand: Monday Morning 8 Dec 1997 JA and Beacon Opening.

     Hi Gang,
     
     This morning I worked JA1HQT on 1908.0 listening on 1823, rst 579 - 
     easy contact and JA2CGM on 1908.4, rst 579 listening 1826 easy 
     contact.
     
     Nothing else on the band but a beacon sending 4 I A I LONGDASH at 
     1810.0. Peaked at 1230 zulu, at least 559.  I couldn't tell direction 
     and have heard it before at same frequency and time.
     
     Couldn't raise anything except W8UVZ about 4 miles SE of me sending CQ 
     DX on 1835.  Where are the HLs, JTs and UA9-0's ??
