In the arena of CW filter uses and choices....
My OMNI V has the 2.4, 1.8, 500 and 250 filters with a 500hz in the NAR
slot.....
Here is my question for the field -
Selecting my 500hz (alone) produces a greatly attenuated signal
compared to using the 250hz (alone)....almost to the point that I will never
select the 500hz (with or without the 500hz NAR filter added in)........Is it
possible to get a 'bad' filter?...or at least a filter slightly out of spec?
.......Out of curiousity I took this 500hz filter out and put it in a Corsair 1
.....if the signal I am looking for is not an S7 or better I can't hear it
anymore....guess I should put the 250 in the Corsair and see what it
does......
