Arthur, I highly recommend Ten Tec's new JUPITER for your friend.  Mine came 
the first week of December 2000.  It has been a joy using this "very friendly 
to operate" rig over the past eight months.  And the price?  You just can't 
beat it.  You buy directly from the factory with no middle man.  This is truly 
a outstanding HF rig.......so your friend will be getting a lot of bang for his
