Re: the Corsair II AGC.... it is audio derived AGC if I'm not mistaken so
the settings of audio BP Filter, audio Notch, ATTN, RF Gain, and AF Gain do
make a huge difference. I have the optional (additional) 1.8 KHz, 500 Hz,
and 250 Hz filters installed in addition to the standard 2.4 KHz filter.
With the 16 poles of filtering, 1.6 to 1 shape factor and the audio
filtering, its still a good CW DXing machine on the low bands.

Has anybody successfully installed the Inrad roofing filter mod in the
Corsair?
My main knock on the Corsair is the AGC circuit - wish there was a major
surgical mod for it . . . .
