As memory serves, the only difference between the Models 263 & 263G VFO's is
the color. Mechanically and electrically, they are the same.
And I can guarantee you that the 263 VFO works just fine with the Corsair
II... because that's the setup I have. Both the VFO and speaker/power
supply are actually the matches for the darker Corsair, not the lighter
Corsair II (grey? beige? whatever), although they do compliment the Corsair
II nicely. But they work just fine. I just need to find more time to get
on the air and use the rig!
[No, not this weekend... driveway concrete to repair, daughter's first
cheerleading game to go to, anniversary for my in-laws, and the son is
coming in from town to see his fiance and join a fantasy football league...
and oh yes, he's going to come over for an hour to pick up his mail, so can
we order General Tso's Chicken takeout for him? Great kid, right!<g>)
Now, if your cases don't match the face plates, it's possible that somewhere
in the past, someone exchanged them (accidentally or otherwise) with their
counterparts. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much... who looks
at the cases, anyway?

Hi, Dave,
Thanks for the response. This is certainly confusing. The Model 263 VFO I
advertised has the same biege case as the Corsair II and the
same brown "face" as the front trim on the Corsair II. The VFO looks like a
good match for the Corsair II.
I have a second Model 263 VFO (not being offered for sale) that has the same
brown case as the original Corsair and has
the same brown face as the other VFO. To your knowledge, was there some
kind of overlap with the two VFO
models and biege cases for the Corsair II?
Thanks,
Jack
