You can choose from various bayonet base miniature bulbs. If you want
longevity go for higher voltage rated bulbs which will draw less current
and glow on the red or amber side rather than bright white. The voltage at
the tuner fed from the RCA connector and a nominal 12 V output from a
Ten-Tec radio or power supply may be something like 12 to 13 Volts. If you
use a bulb rated at that exact voltage it will burn bright . If you use a
higher voltage rated bulb you'll barely notice it is a bit dimmer and
redder and it will last much longer. Look in the usual electronic parts
supplier catalogs. There are also LED replacement options which sometimes
do not have the same uniform dispersion of the light and you may find them
unsatisfactory.
