re: wireless remote radio control . . .Boat owners are familiar with such devices. Uniden, for example, calls it a WHAM (Wireless Handheld Access Microphone). Costs about $100 and lets you control most features of some VHF marine radios. Shouldn't be too big a stretch to provide more features in a handheld device to accommodate the expanded expectations of HF amateur radio operators . . . 73, Tom K4NOX cheap? no, but to me nothing is cheap, so i decided to go on solely ideas instead of cost. also, call it a rice box if you like, it's definately combining "consumer level" gear with radio gear. 73 all de KC0NPF |
