Agreed, but without the roofing filters I doubt the receiver
performance will be close to the claimed specifications.

If you want SSB/AM/FM modes available you have no room left for any narrow SSB or CW filters.Everyone keeps trying to add cost to a radio that many think is alreadyoverpriced. The Omni VI didn't do FM. I never used mine on AM.Even back in the old days, we replaced the Drake R4C's wide front end filter with a 2.4 kHz Sherwood filter (or 500 Hz for CW) to improve the radio forcontest modes, and then it couldn't do AM anymore.Buy a different Radio with more slots.
