Well Rick, you win the prize...you were correct...I could have saved myself some time had I checked this sooner, of course...I knew I was close when I injected a 0 dbm signal at the tx mixer output and got full power...the last stage I checked was the crystal filter...I was going to inject a signal through it but ended up just looking at the solder joints and put it back in when I came up for a coffee...I read your post and decided to jumper with the .01 capacitor and voila....100 watts on the nose!

SO, now to see what I can do with the filter...likely a faulty crystal...not sure how i will test those but I like the idea of using one of the other TT filters...lots of room to work.

Many thanks to you and the others for chiming in on this...As always, a learning experience!...the scope meter really help narrow things down...it in combo with the little sig gen ruled a lot, fast.
