I've been spending some time getting used to my new Omni-6+ on CW. I didn't
have time to operate the contest this past weekend, but plugged in packet
to chase some spots (I'm new to this level of automation).
I ran into an interesting, if confusing problem.
Each time a spot came in, the frequency was ~1.5 kHz off. For example,
there was a spot called at 7007.0 MHz
With the radio in SSB mode, that frequency was correct. In the CW mode,
the frequency was ~7008.4. I thought it was the effect of the CW filter
(I'm using 2 INRAD 400 Hz filters), but later on a spot came in as being on
7004.1, which tuned in fine. In CW mode, it was ~7005.7
What might be going on -- or similarly, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance,
