I had a similar problem with my OMNI VII. Receiver audio would become
very distorted
and very frustrating to operate. Ferrite chokes on the coax and power
leads eliminated the problem.
I had to cycle the power switch. I believe there is a firmware/software
glitch. TT said there was no problem.
