Cool, Jerry, I am not that handy as to fit it all in like that.

Do you have any drawings, photos, schematics you could share with me?

I would love to see other ways of skinning the cat.

tantalum caps and two 1/8 watt resistors and removed the pins of the mic
plug which were not used to allow a little extra room.  I brought out a
3.5mm jack for the headset mic and I purchased a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch adapter
for the headphones.  I also brought out a 2.5mm jack for the PTT.  I use
either foot switch or a hand switch made out of PVC tubing and end caps.  A
small PTT switch is mounted in the PVC cap. I documented all this and put it
up on the Kenwood TS-590S email list.  The same method can be used for the O
II. The headset came from Walmart and is labeled as a GE product.
