Hi:

You folks don't miss a trick, as some updated numbers
were just put onto the web site this morning.

Keep in mind those are 5 kHz spacing numbers - if comparing
these to other radios, use the comparable spacing. The ARRL
started using 5 kHz and 20 kHz numbers in their Product
Reviews with the TS2000 review in July 2001.

Some subtle changes - and the changes reflected were
done for theoretical vs. actual measurements. When we
originally posted the numbers several months ago, no
Orion physically existed to be able to verify what we
were claiming. Now that we have a number of built units
that have been thoroughly tested, we were able to verify
our claimed numbers with actual units in the engineering
lab. It appears that the radio might actually exceed some
of the earlier claimed specs we have published (!)

We are hopeful to publish some meaningful additional
numbers in the future, like 1 kHz spacing dynamic range
and third order intercept numbers. Doug Smith, Jack
Burchfield and the rest of the lab have been running
even more testing this week.

Yes - AGC is fully adjustable. No more FAST, MED,
SLOW, OFF only (though those choices are available too).
Something like 1 million possible combinations for attack,
hang and decay time. This can also be written as a
'profile memory' to be kept for instant recall by the operator.

Rigs are coming soon.
