I took delivery of my Orion June 1st, 2005. I assumed that, more than 2 years
after introduction, that the radio operated as advertised.
It does not.
Sorry you were/are disappointed but the Orion does work and works well
for many of us.. Results were just posted for the 2005 ARRL DX contest,
and you might wish to note that NN3W took first place low power USA by
over 200k points ahead of his nearest competitor. NN3W performed this
feat from W9GE using my modest antenna farm and my Orion that never
needed rebooting once during the contest.
Many of us have different pereceptions. Me, I am happy with my Orion
and will remain so until a better receiver comes along....and I expect
that to be a very long wait. 73 bob de w9ge

What contest are you talking about? I just looked at arrl.net and Aug
QST and saw no such results.
