Assuming the QRO amp is QSK capable will this permit the safe use of the RELAY OUT on the
OMNI in "semi break-in" mode (i.e: slow QSK). Theres no way I'm going to want
to mess with manual PTT in a cw exchange.
If the QRO amp is QSK capable, in the sense of being able to work with the Ten-Tec keying loop, you would not use the RELAY OUT at all. You would use the TX OUT (to key the amplifier) and TX EN (for the amplifier to enable the Omni to output RF when it is ready). Then to operate Slow QSK you would just set the FAST/SLOW QSK button on the Omni to the QSK SLOW position. The delay time in QSK SLOW is programmable.

You would only want to use the RELAY OUT if the amplifier cannot provide a "Ready for TX" output to connect the the Omni VI TX EN, or if the keying input to the amplifier is incompatible with the TX OUT of the Omni.
