John, The 961 and 962 don't really handle enough current to run the ORION (to full power). You need 24A for an ORION and the two older units cut off at 20A. 73 Rick Rick:Thanks for the info. I was wondering about that after I sent in the comment. The ORION manual says without 25 A the transmitter may put out less than 100 watts. I guess that means an Astron linear :-) Anyhow, I may be old fashioned, but I would be just a little more comfortable using a linear with the Orion. 73, John, W3ULS |
