Hello all.
I've been lurking around the list reflector at Contesting.com for a while
and decided to post this little tidbit.
The ARRL has changed its receiver testing protocols for Blocking and IMD
dynamic range. They've gone from using just 20khz spacing to doing a sweep
of frequencies from 200khz-1khz. They posted the results of these tests on
a few of the newer rigs @ 5khz spacing to reflect "crowded" band conditions
in a contest type situation. If I'm reading this right the OMNI VI+ is
second only to the Elecraft K2.
Here's the run down.
Elecraft K-2 BDR: -126db IMD: -88db
OMNI VI+ BDR: -119db IMD: -86db
Yaesu MK V BDR: -106db IMD: -78db
IC-756PRO BDR: -104db IMD: -80db
IC-775DSP BDR: -104db IMD: -77db
Ken TS-2000 BDR: -99db IMD: -67db
IC-746 BDR: -88db IMD: -78db
Ken TS-570D BDR: -87db IMD: -72db
IC-706MKIIG BDR: -86db IMD:-74db
Yaesu FT-847 BDR: -82db IMD: -73db
This data was taken from the ARRL review of the TS-2000 in the July issue
of QST and will be available in the expanded test results on the members
only web site from now on.
Thanks for the great list.
