BUT!!! since the 10 KHz signal coming to the DSP in the Orian is
MODULATED RF, you probably can't copy the voice (might copy the make
break CW signals) because your ear can't do the frequency translation
from that 10 KHz offset in frequency. Its RF because its MODULATED on a
(probably absent) carrier. You wouldn't copy plain old AM except as a 10
KHz carrier with some noise about it. Its NOT AF until its been
DEMODULATED by heterodyning the IF down to audio with the carrier at the
RIGHT frequency (then the output carrier frequency is exactly ZERO), or
if AM its been demodulated with a diode amplitude detector (or fancy
synchronous detector).
