Well in a recent issue of QST (back cover) Kenwood falsely advertised that
they invented Radios with Flash ROM and their TS-2000 was the first example!
Turns out Ten-Tec had FLASH ROM in the ORION-VI+ in 1993 and again in 1996. Then the user accessible FLASH ROM in the Pegasus in 1999, Jupiter, Argonaut V and now the ORION. So yes, there are other radios, but I am not aware of anyone who has successfully upgraded a TS-2000 using the download method as advertised. Great questions.
