I think Carl's statement about fold back vs bias reduction is a better 
explanation than mine.  In any case, the TenTec method for the OMNI VI 
preserves the finals and does not cause distortion like some of the 
earlier finals.
I have made most of the darn fool mistakes with my OMNI VI final loading 
without blowing any fuzes, circuit breakers or finals.
