Guys,

The factory tech last week told me that they have change finals at least 3 times on the Omni 6. He did say that presently they prefer 458's, and always try to replace in matched pairs. He did not indicate whether they spec'ed out alternatives.

Al,

I'm not sure about this, but I seem to recall the guys at the factory
saying that there was no suitable replacement. If there IS one, I'd
sure like to know about it.

MRF 458s have been going extinct for several years now. It gets harder
and
harder-- and more and more expensive-- to find them. You should be able to
substitute MRF 454's with little change in performance. MRF 454s are much
more plentiful. I believe I looked into that at one time and confirmed
that the MRF 454 would be a suitable replacement.

One of the other guys with a data book would be able to confirm or deny
that.
