It shouldn't be hard to repair the worn bushing hole. Probably drill it
out larger and slip in a new bushing the larger OD to fit the new hole
and the right size for the shaft or maybe a bushing that bits the
outside of the existing bushing and then make the new hole in the
insulator plate large enough for that bushing. A simple repair in a
machine shop.
