The new GUI software does not work on Windows XP either. The N4PY
software works just fine. Am running XP with all of the latest Microsoft
up dates installed. Rig interface is on Com 2. Rig initializes fine then
the remote tuning pod goes nuts. Frequency jumps in a random fashion
whenever the remote tuning pod knob is moved. Old GUI works fine N4PY
works fine.

I'm running 1.201 which is the latest available and
has been for months. Which version of the firmware and
which flavor of windows seems to work ok together?
It would be interesting to see if this is a Win9x
kernel vs. NT kernel issue. There is a big difference
between how the Win9x versions (Win95, Win98, WinME)
and the NT kernel based versions (WinNT, Win2K, WinXP)
of the Windows OS handle the com ports.
