OK, here's a bit more meat about what is on the table.
As most of you know, World Radio Team Contesting (WRTC) is something like an
Olympics for ham radio.
Last year the event was conducted in the US.
The next WRTC event is being hosted here in Germany in 2018.
Until now this was very interesting for contesters but not so much for most
every-day hams.
What we are attempting to do is find a way to get ALL hams involved.
We are offering a special AWARD (or whatever name one wants to call it) that
anyone, anywhere can achieve by working hams in various regions where the
WRTC participants come from.
This is still being written up, and it is all in German.
I have been volunteered to translate it into English.
Most is no problem, but I've lived in Germany nearly 50 years so I don't
always know the latest terminology and much of what I do know in English is
a bit out-dated.
Mother please, I'd rather do it myself.
We call it "Diplom" in German which translates to diploma in English, but
just didn't sound right to me. It is an award and we receive a certificate.
I think I will go with AWARD.

A diploma is issued by an educational institutions. It's just not that
right term to use here.
