Every brand of radio is subject to the quality control of the =
semiconductor vendors. You cannot evaluate if a transistor is going to =
fail of infant mortality without cuttng it open, and even then it might =
not show anything to a microscope. Unfortunately, in this day of =
robotic manufacturing, the adjustments of the machines do get off and =
not caught by the few workers kept around to service the robots, and you =
get the occasional quality control failure of the Semi device, not at =
all the fault of Ten Tec. But, you will find their service the best of =
the manufacturers.
Also, before connecting loose cables, be sure you know exactly where =
every one should go. Some computerized devices have loose connectors =
for factory troubleshooting test jig hook ups, etc. A call to Ten Tec =
gets that hand holding that will lead you through the porblems.
Good Luck, I am sure they will make it right.
