I use a pair of Radio Shack cans. The big ones with full ear coverage and
soft cushions. Audio is at about 35% for comfortable listening level. I
suspect your phones are high impedance otherwise above 16 ohms at which the
headphone volume will be reduced. Typically the headphone impedance should
be 8 to 16 ohms.
