I have a Paragon and I am very happy with it. It is a joy on SWL with =
the good 6khz filter. I also have all of the other filters in the radio =
and I really enjoy the fact that they do not ring. When I put the 250hz =
filter in I am amazed at the way the radio performs on CW. I have never =
had the PLL lock issue. I would say the radio is a good value. It is =
not an OMNI VI+ but it is good. I am actually trying to sell my Paragon =
because I want the new computer controlled radio. I can only hope it is =
a good as the Paragon.

I have been looking to add a second TenTec rig to the station, aside =
from the Pegasus which I have. I have looked at possibly a Triton 544 or =
Omni D version C--they are hard to come by or cost more than I can =
afford. But now I have found at least 5 Paragons at three different =
places and wonder if they are any good? The fact that five are available =
makes me think they might be Turkeys. How does a Paragon stand up to an =
Omni D version C? Yeah, I know what Paragon means; but is that =
advertising or something for real.
