N4PY> With firmware version 1.367, you can send CW with the Orion by simply sending characters to the Orion via the comport. My Orion control software uses this function to run a CW keyboard. Software CW and PTT seems to be trendy! N1MM Logger uses K1EL keyer, Writelog has W5XD keyer. It helps the sale of unique 8 COM port PC cards! GHZ CPU with 10M transistors can't provide reliable msec timing.
