Hi William:
The big problem is trying to mix audio with other rigs, I like to use
one speaker for the Jupiter, JRC NRD-545, JRC JST-145 and a ICOM IC-718 for
backup. By having all audio standard it is switchable between rigs. Only two
radios that I know of that use the balanced ungrounded output is the Jupiter
and the Drake SW-8. As you can see it is not compatible with most rigs.
Otherwise we would have a ham shack full of speakers all working at the same
time.
